Wherefore Art Thou

My first upload of 2015... and a tribute/memorial to my long time best friend Romeo. He passed away last September, quite suddenly, and I still find myself aching about it from time to time. More about that is here: Feeling better - Thank you all! Rest in peace, my lad.

I felt incomplete still since his passing and I thought that my first art piece of this year should be one that helped bring me some closure from last year. And since it's still the Chinese Year of the Horse, it seemed doubly appropriate. I found joy and sadness in doing this painting, but in the end, I am happy with the end result. I don't think I'll revisit this piece, but Romeo might be a subject again later. For me, this is a great way to start off my year of art and I'm looking forward to working on more pieces very soon! Comics, fanart, and commissions here I come!
